The Growers Market
The Growers Market continues at 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays and 8 a.m. Saturdays at Animas Park, located on Browning Parkway. Local growers offer the best fruits and vegetables in the area. The market will continue until the first frost. For more information, call the chamber at 505-325-0279.
The Farmington Chamber of Commerce's Chile in October
The Farmington Chamber of Commerce's Chile in October event is set for 11
a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, October 10 at the Gateway Museum, 3041 E. Main St. A chili cook-off will be held, which will offer some of the area's finest chili cooks to compete for cash prizes. Green and red chili will be judged.
Admission is $5, which includes two cups for chili tasting. The Wines of the San Juan and Three Rivers Brewery will be on hand for adult beverages. Food and soft drinks will also be available. Sponsorship opportunities remain and applications to take part in the chili cook-off are available. Call the chamber at 505-325-0279, or stop by the chamber office at 100 W. Broadway.
